A rare original tour poster for The Jam's 1978 UK Apocalypse Tour, screenprinted in black on vibrant neon orange. Following the release of their third studio album 'All Mod Cons' on 3 November 1978, the British mod rock three-piece set out on a 19 date UK tour in support of the album, from the Empire Theatre in Liverpool on 1 November to Colston Hall in Bristol on 26 November, with support from The Dickies and Patrik Fitzgerald. Featuring the singles 'David Watts', ''A' Bomb In Wardour Street', and 'Down in the Tube Station at Midnight', 'All Mod Cons' reached No.6 in the UK album chart and was hailed by NME magazine's Charles Shaar Murray as "the album that's going to catapult the Jam right into the front rank of international rock and roll; one of the handful of truly essential rock albums of the last few years." Rarely seen, an example of this poster from the band's own archive was exhibited at London's Somerset House in 2015 as part of the exhibition 'The Jam: About The Young Idea'. The vibrant neon colour of this poster is near impossible to reproduce in photos.
