A scarce British motion lenticular for the 2008 Warner Bros seminal superhero sequel The Dark Knight, hauntingly revealing each of the three main characters - Batman, The Joker and Harvey Dent - when seen at different angles. Produced by Hive Associates, the souvenir lenticulars were placed on seats at premieres and special screenings. The second instalment in Christopher Nolan's gritty trilogy based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film starred Christian Bale as Batman, Heath Ledger as The Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent and Michael Caine as Alfred. Ledger's death from an accidental drug overdose only a few months after completing filming led to intense press attention leading up to the film's release. His sinister and psychopathic portrayal of the Joker was universally acclaimed, leading to numerous posthumous accolades including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Critic Roger Ebert declared that the film had redefined the possibilities of the comic-book movie.
