An oversized UK promotional poster for the September 1993 release of Nirvana's third and final studio album In Utero, following the chart success of the album's lead single Heart Shaped Box in August. Like frontman Kurt Cobain's lyrics, the album's promotional artwork incorporated medical imagery that conveyed his state of mind in the wake of Nirvana's newfound fame and the resultant media attention on his personal life. Promotional posters for the album featured the same artwork as the album cover, which pictured an image of a Transparent Anatomical Manikin, superimposed with angel wings. A major critical and commercial success, In Utero reached number one on the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart, going on to sell over 15 million copies worldwide. It would be the band's final album before the dissolution of Nirvana following Cobain's suicide in 1994.

Condition

Very good (B)

Conservation backed on linen. Backing has smoothed two horizontal folds and minor edge wear. A few small creases to lettering across lower fold. Some wrinkle delamination to upper left portion. A handful of black smudges to upper right corner. Some surface colour wear and colour inconsistency to pale yellow ground in places.
