Produced for British Railways to promote rail travel to the Scottish Highlands, this scarce British quad royal travel poster for the Western Highlands features a picturesque and peaceful lochside scene by Edward Irvine Halliday (1902-1984). Best known for his portraits, Halliday trained at the Royal College of Art and the British School of Rome. He portrayed many members of the British royal family as well as royalty and dignitaries from other countries. An example of this poster is held in the Science Museum Group Collection, UK.
