Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. ooze effortless cool as they stroll down the Las Vegas strip on this scarce US insert poster for seminal 1960 heist movie ‘Ocean’s 11’. The film famously starred several members of the Rat Pack as part of an ensemble cast led by Sinatra as World War II veteran Danny Ocean, who gathers a group of ten comrades to pull off the ultimate heist - robbing five Vegas casinos in one night. The film’s Las Vegas scenes were actually shot on location at the five casino hotels - the Flamingo, the Sands, the Desert Inn, the Riviera, and the Sahara. Despite mixed reviews from critics, many of whom were turned off by the amoral plot, Ocean’s 11 became one of the most commercially successful films of Sinatra’s career and inspired a 2001 remake by Steven Soderbergh, with George Clooney in the titular role. Rare to find in such fine condition, the US insert features similar artwork to the US three-sheet poster in a more display-friendly size.
Condition
Slight overall age toning and darkening to edges. Soft corner bumps and tiny dog-ears to two corners. Minuscule surface nicks and chips to lower edge, probably from original theatrical display. Image and colours otherwise excellent.Related artworks
