Featuring a montage of Tom Jung's and the Hildebrandt brothers' designs for the US poster campaign, this poster was issued for the first release of Star Wars in Japan in 1978. This is the second printing of the first release, with the Oscars credits in red lettering. Later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, George Lucas' 1977 space epic kicked off one of the greatest film franchises of all time and became a pop culture phenomenon that is still going strong forty years later.
