An extremely rare screenprint British double crown poster for the 1960s cult classic 'The Girl on a Motorcycle,' which followed Marianne Faithfull on a psychedelic motorcycle ride across Germany to see her lover. Directed by Jack Cardiff and co-starring Alain Delon, the film was based on the 1963 novel La Motocyclette by André Pieyre de Mandiargues. The more commonly seen British quad poster focused on a provocatively unzipped leather bodysuit, offering a teaser of the film's opening scene in which Faithfull zips the now trademark skin tight bodysuit over her naked body before hitting the road. Silkscreen printed in teal, yellow and black, this rare double crown poster features the same image of Faithfull speeding through the countryside on her Harley Davidson as seen on the scarce alternate British quad poster produced for the ABC cinema chain. Released in the US as 'Naked Under Leather', it was the first film to receive an X rating in the United States.
