A shocking pink poster by Wladyslaw Janiszewski for the first Polish release of the 1949 boxing noir Champion, which launched a young Kirk Douglas to international stardom for his leading role as ruthless boxing champ Midge Kelly and earned him his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Condition

Very good (B+)

Backed on linen. Old colour touching to nicks and creases at edges with some minor surface paper loss remaining visible. Fine scratch to upper edge above 'Douglas.' Some fading to lower left corner of pink ground, image and colours otherwise good.
