Maciej Hibner focuses on legendary screen star Spencer Tracy on this charming poster for the first Polish release of classic Hollywood comedy Father of the Bride. Directed by Vincente Minelli and co-starring Elizabeth Taylor as the titular bride, the perennial favourite follows the trials and tribulations of a father preparing for his only daughter's wedding. The film's premiere took place two days after Taylor's first marriage to Nicky Hilton, which tied in nicely to the MGM publicity campaign. Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor for Tracy, the 1950 film became one of the top grossing of the year and spawned both a sequel and a 1991 remake.

Very Good to Excellent (B+ to A-)
