In one of his most famous roles at the pinnacle of his career, Steve McQueen is the essence of cool as tough cop Frank Bullitt in this action-packed 1968 thriller, featuring one of movie history's most memorable and influential car chases through the streets of San Francisco. Issued for the film's original theatrical release in Japan, this scarce B2 poster is notable for featuring Bullitt's 1968 Highland Green Ford Mustang GT 390. First released in Japan in December 1968, the film was still in continuous release when it won an Academy Award in April 1969 and an updated poster design with an Oscar statuette was issued to theaters to capitalize on this. This is the more sought after pre-Academy Awards style without the Oscars notice.

Condition

Two horizontal waves to paper due to being softly tri-folded with a stack of other posters at one time. Some creasing to corners and edges, predominantly at the left edge of each 'wave'. Whisper of edge staining to upper left corner. The occasional light handling ding or small pressure crease throughout. Slight overall toning. Image and colours otherwise excellent.
