Sean Connery was paid a then record $1.25 million to return as James Bond for EON Production's Diamonds Are Forever, his sixth and final outing as Bond after declining the role in 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. A diamond smuggling investigation leads 007 to Las Vegas, where he uncovers an extortion plot headed by his old nemesis Blofeld. This is the highly sought after country of origin poster with explosive artwork by the inimitable Robert McGinnis, depicting the suave British spy in a blaze of action, flanked by Bond girls Tiffany Case and Plenty O’Toole.
Backed on linen. Prior to backing this poster had one horizontal and three vertical machine folds as issued, old tape residue and torn pin holes to corners, and minor creases and tears to edges. Backing has smoothed the fold lines so they are almost invisible, tape residue has been expertly removed, and light airbrush has improved the appearance of the tape stains, tears and pinholes. Expertly restored and looks fantastic - image and colors excellent.
